EquiBling™, Behind the IdeaThe idea of EquiBling™ came to me a few years ago, after searching for a QUALITY set of "cadence beads" for one of my fillies. After much frustration, I realized the sets available for purchase were all cheap, plastic beads with little or no artistic design or talent behind them.
With an artist's background and a degree in Equine Business, I focused on all things equine (from tail bags & photography to pencil & oil drawings), I decided to start my own mini-business in hopes of having a hobby that I really enjoyed and one that brought me joy and satisifcation.
Meet the ArtistI was born & raised in Portland, Oregon. I grew up loving all animals & was privileged enough to begin riding lessons in early elementary school. I rode at every opportunity, taking Dressage & jumping lessons twice per week.
At age 10, I was fortunate enough to have my first horse purchased for me; a gorgeous Peruvian Paso filly, which began my true passion for horses. I could never decide on what sort of riding I wanted to do, so my mare & I ended up doing everything from jumping (up to 3'6") & Dressage (up to 3rd level), English Equitation, to barrel racing, team penning, trail riding and even a little cutting! She was never the best at anything, but she tried very hard at everything she did--never refusing a jump or being anything but brave (true BRIO) at everything we did.
This is us, clearing 3'6" ! Not bad for a 15 hand Peruvian!

I continued riding & training my mare through middle school & high school and before I decided on which college I was going to attend; I made the decision that my mare had to come with me.
I applied for & was accepted into the Equine Science program at Rocky Mountain College, in Billings, Montana. I graduated in 2003 with a degree in Equine Science, with an emphasis on Equine Business.
In 2005, I moved to a small town in North/Central Washington State on 10 beautiful acres and where I enjoy training my Peruvian Paso horses as well as riding the trails. I also own one Appendix Quarter horse & an Andalusian/Arabian cross. I occasionally have one for sale.
In addition, I breed rare poultry & waterfowl. Please click here to visit Rare Feathers Farms™ poultry & hatching egg page.
