How Do Custom EquiBling™ Necklaces Work?
EquiBling™ beads are equipped with a clip to fasten to your horse’s mane so the beads will stay in place & will not slide around their neck. They also have a unique breakaway device designed to avoid injury to the horse or the bead strand, should it catch on something while in use. As long as the EquiBling™ are secured with the breakaway device as part of the loop, the broken necklace may dangle from its clip or fall to the ground, but the beads should stay strung on their cord. Two extra breakaway "connectors" are included. Replacement breakaway device material may be purchased at most hardware stores.

What Are They Made Of?
In the interest of durability and your horse's safety, plastic beads and/or Swarovski Crystal beads are used for standard orders, but glass and pewter are sometimes available through custom orders. Each EquiBling™ necklace features a beautiful pendant that is typically made of a durable pewter frame with Swarovski Crystal accents, although custom pendants are available, as well. The pendant may be chosen to enhance your horse's character, provide protection or power, or suit your personal tastes. Several different types and colors of bells are available, including aluminum jingle bells (softest tone), aluminum tinkle bells (loudest tone), and enameled brass bells (mid-range tone). The color and type of bells used on this item are noted in the item description.

What Size Do I Need?
The standard 48" length of EquiBling™ can be easily adjusted to fit most common horse sizes by using the optional adjustment clip. Other sizes are available by custom order. For a perfect fit, the necklace should lay smoothly from just in front of your horse’s withers down the slopes of the shoulders to the center of where the neck joins the chest. It should neither be so loose that it flops around nor so tight that it restricts movement or blood flow. You can measure the circumference of this part of your horse's neck to determine whether the size offered will fit your horse.

How Do I Care for my EquiBling™?
As you know horses get dirty and so will your EquiBling™ necklace. In most cases, you can just rinse them with water & hang them to dry thoroughly. For stubborn dirt or fly spray buildup, handwash your EquiBling™gently with a soft toothbrush & mild detergent, then rinse them with clear water & hang them to dry. While EquiBling™ components are chosen for their long-term durability, EquiBling™won’t last forever. Attention to care & cleaning will enhance the beauty & prolong the useful life of your piece.

What Precautions Should I Take?
EquiBling™ should NOT be left on an unattended horse, and the creator is not responsible for any injuries that may result from their use. As good horse sense suggests, introduce EquiBling™ sensibly to your horse, and do not ask your horse to wear them when riding through heavy brush. Should the necklace become caught on an immovable object, the breakaway device should release, freeing your horse. However, for your horse's utmost safety, please don't leave it unattended while wearing the necklace.

Equus Art Studio Facts

• All pieces are originals, unless otherwise noted.
• All pieces are drawn on 11" x 8 1/2" paper (8 x10" framed size)
• All pieces are either charcoal or pencil (unless by special request, or otherwise noted)
• The paper used is heavy-weight, acid-free and Lingin-free (won't yellow or fade)
• Custom orders are completed upon a first-come, first served basis. Please respect the fact that I have another occupation, I am a newly wed, I have horses to tend to/train, etc so it may take 6 to 10 weeks to get your custom piece done
• Rush orders are available, with at least two weeks' notice. Please note that a "rush fee" will be applied to any/all orders that are expected within two weeks' time. This fee is $15 in addtion to the custom artwork fee and does NOT include RUSH shipping (contact me for applicable fees)
• Proofs are available via e-mail (I will scan your drawing upon completion, prior to shipping, & e-mail it to you if you want). Please request this at any time, through e-mail.
• All orders (custom or not) are shipped Priority USPS, unless other arrangements have been made
• I accept PayPal, money order, cashier's checks & personal checks. Personal checks MUST clear my bank before I begin any work. This usually takes 8-10 business days.
